A note about Electronic Data Sheet .eds files and newer browsers
It appears that newer browsers display EDS files without carriage returns <cr>. If you click on an EDS (Electronic Data Sheet) link and the resulting text is crammed into an unreadable paragraph with no breaks or returns, you have a newer browser.

The fix is to go to your browser's "View" menu and click on the"Page Source" option (in Firefox, it's" Tools" > "Web Developer" > "Page Source".).A new window will appear with a readable file.

To save a readable file, download the .zip archived file instead.

DeviceNet-to-ASCII serial gateway technical data

The 1782-JDC provides the capability to use a general purpose serial device on a DeviceNet system. The DIN mount module converts data contained in a DeviceNet message to a serial output string and formats a DeviceNet response from a received serial input string.
